On a recent trip to Seattle for a class by Julia Kelleher at CreativeLive, my friend Lori and I decided to have some fun with a couple friends of hers who recently added a puppy to their family.
It was a gorgeous summer evening in Seattle and the perfect time for a “So Seattle” session to include the Great Wheel, the pier AND ice cream!
Lori is the brains, talent, and beauty behind KPC & Co Photography. Lori and I can often be found second shooting for each others’ weddings, or styling a crazy session just because we think it will be pretty. Meet my beautiful friend here, letting me check the lighting on her at our So Seattle session….
I actually hadn’t been to downtown Seattle since the arrival of the Great Wheel. I loved trying to involve it in the images! It’s not always an easy task in Seattle. There are/were cranes (because Seattle is always under construction), trash receptacles in inopportune areas, and always lots of people to work around! But when it’s just a “for fun” session, there’s much less pressure. And the perfect way to practice posing… Along with working around all of those other fun things.
