When I first met Samantha & Gabe at the beginning of the year to discuss their wedding at Laurel Creek Manor, I just felt like everything clicked.
I always insist on a meeting with my clients before they choose me to be their wedding day photographer. And for good reason! This is one of the most important days of your life, and the last thing you want is to have to spend it with a photographer, who’s in your face all day long, that you can’t stand! Aside from that, after everything is said and done, all you have left are your images to look through; so not only is it important that our personalities mesh, but my artistic style to YOUR wedding day vision. At our meeting, Samantha was showing me pictures of all the details they had planned so far. From the gorgeous venue, to the stunning Stella York wedding gown — and to top it all off, their incredibly sweet personalities! I was so excited and honored they chose me to be their wedding photographer.
Gabe and Samantha both had family traveling in for their wedding from all over, but a good portion of Gabe’s family came straight from Italy. Now, I’d never been to any large Italian event, but after photographing this wedding, I can tell you: I definitely need to attend more! Those Italians LOVE to dance and have fun. No matter their age, they were all out on the dance floor. What a sight to see!
Samantha has the most contagious smile, so photographing them was truly a breeze. They decided against a “first look” and to go the more traditional route of waiting until the ceremony to see each other. What a beautiful ceremony it was! The love was evident and the tears fell all around. To top it all off, they gave me plenty of time to photograph just the two of them throughout the evening. Lucky me, because they are just STUNNING!
LASTLY, to finish up the evening right, they had a beautiful fireworks display (which they make available year round – awesome!!), and were picked up in a gorgeous Rolls Royce by British Motor Coach (even the driver was British!).
To Gabe & Samantha: You two deserve each other. Treat each other with respect and gratitude forever and always as I’ve always seen you do, and many years of love and happiness will pursue. Best of luck in your beautiful adventure called life! Congratulazioni!!!
