Boudoir photography is some of my absolute favorite. We all have our own insecurities. You might see the most stunning woman with no visible flaws anywhere, but she probably has something she’s insecure about too. Boudoir brings out ALL the insecurities. But it’s part of the “challenge” that I absolutely love!
When I get to show a woman just how beautiful we all see her ALL.THE.TIME. and she can’t help but continue to look at the images because she just can’t believe it’s her? That’s just perfection for me!
I love asking a woman what her favorite things about herself are. Even better when they actually have an answer! Sometimes it’s something little, like her eyes or her hair. Other times I don’t here much about what SHE likes, but maybe more about what her spouse likes. And then there’s times when this question immediately leads to the things she “hates” about herself. (Read: Want to know how to know a woman’s insecurities? Ask her what her favorite things about her body are!). My goal regardless of a woman’s answer is to prove her own beauty to herself!
This stunning redhead had a friend who did her boudoir with me first. She was so nervous! But I honestly believe in the power of a hair and makeup artist. It makes you go from feeling like you’re just having a regular day, to making it extra special! Some sort of internal transformation happens, I swear!
