Every woman should have the opportunity to do a boudoir session at least once in her life. These days, so many women are playing a wide variety of roles, from boss, to wife, to PTA president and mother of three…this is the 21st Century, is there anything a woman CAN’T do? But it seems that somewhere along the way, we lose ourselves in the hustle. We’re so focused on our careers, and raising children, and playing the part that we forget that we are incredible creatures with strong, beautiful bodies. We are left feeling “cute” at best, while our inner sex goddess takes the back seat and confidence in our own beauty fades.
Enter boudoir. There’s a reason the lingerie business is still booming after all of these years, and it has very little to do with men. A little lace (combined with the power of hair and make-up) is often all it takes to bring out that gorgeous goddess who has been patiently waiting to be unveiled. Each boudoir session is so empowering, and this one, which took place at an air bnb in Chattanooga, Tennessee, was no exception. This shoot captures an array of looks ranging from soft and feminine to seductive and glamorous, and I think that’s really what it’s all about. White lace and graceful pinks doesn’t necessarily have to mean bridal. I find these color stories can achieve an underrated, unrivaled ethereal elegance that really gets down to the heart of boudoir: unleashing feminine allure. And of course, classic black lingerie photographs beautifully each and every time, inviting its subject to be the sultry, daring diva she was born to be.
With her porcelain skin and her striking green eyes, this natural beauty was a gem from the very beginning. She made this shoot her own in a deadly combination of fierce and feminine. No two shoots are ever alike because the woman in front of the camera always brings her own unique style when she walks through that door. But one thing is always certain, when she leaves, she leaves a little more confident, a little sexier, a little more vivacious than she was when she entered.
