Although I’m now local to Chattanooga, I still travel to Las Vegas every year.
Every time, I find a new epic location I want to photograph in. One of this years lucky locations was the Dry Lake Beds just outside of downtown Las Vegas.
So with an epic location, an epic couple is necessary too! Enter Jess & Josh. A nurse and baseball player… also known as perfection!
This couple is making their dreams come true. Jess recently graduated nursing school with her RN, and Josh was recently drafted into the minor leagues Hickory Crawdads — individual dreams they’ve been working towards together! So when life starts going in all the right directions, why wouldn’t you get engaged?!
Although it was incredibly windy (something this particular location is known for), it was a beautiful evening. The sun was shining and the love was showing. I even got a chance to play with a few of my photography “toys”! Double exposures, prisms, and other glass pieces. So fun!
The Dry Lake Bed is pretty amazing. With its cracks in the dirt and the mountains just beyond, it’s quite unique.
Add some of this beautiful love to the mix, and I’m one happy photographer! I love getting to know my clients more during their sessions. Jess’s engagement ring was actually lost in the mail when they sent it back to the dealer to be sized! They had canceled their session since they thought there was no way they would find it before that. And while they actually did not find it (and still have not!), they did get a replacement just in time to make this beautiful session a reality! And I’m quite thankful that they were able to do the session!
