If you’ve followed my work for a while, you probably know that Cannon Beach, OR is one of my most favorite places.

On a recent trip there I had the pleasure of photographing Dave & Maggie from Salt Lake City!

The weather at Cannon Beach can be quite tricky in April! But we found an evening that was clear… well, at least for a little bit! By the time we had reached Haystack Rock to capture some images there, it started sprinkling. And it really didn’t want to let up! (Of course, two hours later, the sun was ACTUALLY shining — crazy PNW weather!). But we made the best of it all. We had fun and got some gorgeous images for Dave & Maggie, too!

I happened to catch them in the midst of a trip. Maggie had just completed a marathon in Bend, OR and was getting some R&R in Cannon Beach before taking off back home to Salt Lake! These two were so adorably in love. And turns out they’re climbers too! A part of me truly hopes that some day, they’ll come to Chattanooga to climb and our paths will cross again 😉

That is one of the things I love best about my job… getting to know people!!
