How much coverage will we need for our wedding day?
Well, obviously every wedding is unique. I have a variety of questions we will go over to help assist this question! On average, my couples hire me for 6-8 hours. But smaller weddings might be fine with only 4 or 5 hours. While larger weddings may need closer to 10!
How long have you been a wedding photographer?
I started photographing weddings in 2015. Previous to that, I was more focused on portraits and family, but weddings really pulled me in! I love all of the love during wedding days!
How long will it be until we have our pictures?
My wedding gallery turnaround time is 6-8 weeks.
Are you LGBTQ friendly?
Absolutely! They tend to be some of my favorite weddings!
Where are you located?
I am based in Sandpoint, ID (way, way up north, near Canada!). But... have passport, will travel.
Since I've lived in NH, WA, & TN (and strong roots in the military), I have clients all over the country. I'm always game for a good session somewhere new!
Do we get the copyright to our pictures?
Simply state: no. Not the copyright. You DO get printing rights! But the copyright, as explained in my contract, is owned by the individual who created the art.
"Copyright describes the legal rights of the owner of intellectual property."
How much will I need to put down to secure you as our photographer?
I require a 20% retainer to be paid upon signing your contract with me. Once both of those are in place, we're good to go!
What gear do you shoot with?
I'm a Nikon girl. No hate to Canon or Sony, it's just what I've always had!
I'm currently rocking a couple D750's and basically all of the lenses possible (haha): 14-24/2.8, 24-70/2.8, 35/1.8, 50/1.8, 70-200/2.8, 85/1.4, 105/2.8, 135/1.4.
Do you have an assistant or second shooter?
I always do my best to have a second shooter with me on wedding days at no extra charge to you! If your wedding is quite small (an elopement, for example) I may not feel the need for a second shooter, but it is likely something I'll discuss with you prior.
How far in advance do we need to book?
The sooner the better, but for the best options (for all of your vendors), about a year out is suggested!
