Quaint Elopement in Sagle

April 17, 2022

I have a truly strong love with small elopements! Kelli and Caleb contacted me from Boise telling me they were renting an Air BnB on the water in Sagle and having about a dozen people present to witness their nuptials. They had SO many beautiful, special touches!

They brought in a handmade alter (made by one of the attendees). Kelli’s mom was able to officiate their ceremony. Kelli even got to pick her wedding day flowers at a local flower field, Grumpy Chicken Flower Farm!

One thing we didn’t anticipate happening was a crazy amount of wind, and a wild fire season, causing some serious smoke! There was even ash falling on their plates outside — something North Idaho does not see much of!

Kelli wore a custom, simple, silk dress and looked absolutely stunning. One of their guests made their beautiful cake, accented with dried flowers. And they used other dried flowers as the confetti thrown after saying “I do!”

A fun part of this Air BnB was the trolley it had to go from the main living space of the home down to the dock! Kelli used it as her entrance, and then again, as their getaway after the ceremony — so sweet!

The best part of a small, intimate elopement? When it’s 90 degrees and smoky outside, you can just jump right into the lake and not worry about your hair and makeup!
